Cast iron (Cast iron lining)
Cast iron (cast iron lining)Normal temperature and low pressure
- General use
This material has a history of several thousand years and is used for low pressure and room temperature.
KITZ’s cast iron valve is manufactured at a dedicated plant from foundry to thorough quality-control.
Cast iron valve is used in a wide range of fields, including air conditioning, water supply and drainage of building facilities, fire extinguishing systems, water supply and sewerage systems, and ancillary facilities of various plants.
Cast iron lining is made by lining internal and external surfaces of valve made of cast iron with nylon or epoxy.
KITZ’s cast iron linings have been subjected to extreme caution, from the subsurface treatment of cast iron to lining treatment, inspection, and shipping, in order to demonstrate the resin’s superior corrosion resistance.
It is used in various tap water and seawater lines.
Scene of use
- ・Air-conditioning and sanitation of building equipment, factory production equipment, machine tools, equipment, etc.
Main applicable fluids
- ・Water, oil, gas (non-flammable)
Point of technology
- ・In addition to KITZ standards, we offer a lineup that is compatible with JIS B 2031 “gray cast iron valve.”
- ・The steering wheel is designed for ease of gripping and operability from an ergonomic point of view.
Cast iron PFA nylon lining valves are based on leaching performance of lead in tap water. - ・0.01mg/L and below are cleared and can be used as a valve for water supply.
- ・Cast iron linings are valve for high temperature and high pressure applications such as petroleum plants.
- ・Cast iron linings can be as large as 2B or larger than 60B.
Trivia
- ・Pots, and other materials used in old times
- ・Hard and strong iron, such as nails, needles, steel plates, knives, kitchen knives, rails, razors
