Providing Purified River Water for Essential Needs at Evacuation Centers in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture
We sincerely extend our deepest condolences to all those impacted by the Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and mourn those who have unfortunately lost their lives. We further pray earnestly for the swift recovery of all affected communities.
In accordance with the emergency support agreement with the Disaster Emergency Assistance Platform (PEAD), the KITZ Group (comprised of KITZ Corporation and Shimizu Alloy Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) has responded to a request from Peace Winds Japan, a Certified Specified Non-profit Organization. We have installed two “Aqua Rescue” portable membrane filtration devices at the Health Promotion Center in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to address ongoing water outages. Aqua Rescue purifies raw water drawn from the nearby Wakayama River and provides water for baths, daily use, and toilets at the evacuation centers set up by the Ground Japan Self-Defense Forces.
