KITZ has announced the endorsement of the “GX League Basic Concept ” disclosed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on February 1, 2022 and has joined the GX League. We will engage in information sharing and discussions with companies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

■Background of our commitment and support for environmental issues
  Since our foundation, we have been manufacturing valves by melting metals such as copper and iron in electric furnaces, with a focus on integrated production from raw materials. As a result, we consume a large amount of electricity, which has an impact on the environment, and therefore we have fomulated our Long-term Environmental Vision, ‘3ZERO (Triple Zero)’. In response to the urgent issue of climate change, we have set a goal of reducing our environmental impact by -80% by 2024 and -90% by 2030, as compared to the levels in 2013.

 By 2024, we will promote energy-saving initiatives at our production sites. Additionally, we will work towards achieving our targets by sourcing CO2-free electricity at our major facilities. Our ultimate aim is to become carbon neutral by 2050.
