KITZ Corporation (hereinafter “KITZ”) is pleased to announce that we have signed a contract for the introduction of an on-site solar power generation service for private consumption (PPA model*1) at the KITZ Chino Plant with SMFL MIRAI Partners Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “SMFL MIRAI Partners”), a strategic subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “SMFL”). The operations have commenced today.

【KITZ Chino Plant（Chino, Nagano prefecture）】

The KITZ Chino Plant plays an important role in production and technology development within the KITZ Group. It manufactures brass valves used in plumbing equipment for the building & equipment market. In this initiative, SMFL MIRAI Partners has installed 3,400 solar panels at the plant, supplying all generated electricity to the facility. The panels have a capacity of 1,989 kW and are expected to generate 1,971 MWh annually, which will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 829 tons. This solar power generation will cover 24% of the Chino Plant’s electricity consumption.
