KITZ Joins the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index for the First Time

KITZ Corporation has been selected for the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. The Index, created by global index and data provider FTSE Russell, is designed as an industry-neutral benchmark. It reflects the performance of Japanese companies that are relatively strong in addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in their respective sectors. In particular, the Index integrates companies with substantial greenhouse gas emissions provided they demonstrate improvement initiatives assessed by the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI)* Management Quality Score, thereby endorsing the shift towards a low-carbon economy.

The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world’s largest public pension fund, as an ESG investment target.

Sustainability management forms the cornerstone of our Long-term Management Vision at KITZ Group. We disseminate key themes and KPIs across the group and persistently strive to achieve our set goals. Since our foundation, we have been devoted to executing our corporate social responsibility. This includes nurturing local economic growth and enforcing environmental conservation initiatives. As a member of the global community, we remain steadfast in our commitment to shaping a sustainable society for future generations to inherit.

* TPI Management Quality Score: An evaluation of the quality of a company’s management of risks and opportunities related to greenhouse gas emissions and the transition to a low-carbon future.
