Basic Policy and Slogan on Sustainability

The KITZ Group has promoted sustainability management to realize”KITZ’ Statement of Corporate Mission”,and our Long-term Management Vision “Beyond New Heights 2030-Change the Flow” which expresses the KITZ Group’s corporate philosophy. Under the KITZ Group Long-term Management Vision , all employees will work together in practicing sustainability management as the core of our management strategy. As the roadmap for doing so, the Basic Policy on Sustainability was formulated and approved by the Board of Directors in December 2021.

To realize”KITZ’ Statement of Corporate Mission”, which expresses the KITZ Group’s corporate philosophy, we will work toward the following:

• 1. Strive to increase both corporate value and social value by delivering solutions to social challenges through our businesses
• 2. Be an enterprise that deserves society’s trust, through realizing efficient, fair, and transparent, highly ethical corporate management
• 3. Build unshakeable relations of trust through dialogue with all stakeholders

Structure to promote Sustainability management

Sustainability Promotion Structure

To strongly promote sustainability management, KITZ operates the Sustainability Committee, chaired by the Director, Representative Executive Officer, and President, with the General Manager of the Corporate Planning Division serving as Vice-Chair. The committee’s regular members consist of KITZ’s Senior Executive Officers, Executive Officers, and the Presidents of domestic KITZ Group companies.
Additionally, to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Sustainability Committee and the promotion of sustainability management, KITZ has established the Sustainability Promotion Office. This office facilitates and supports sustainability initiatives across the KITZ Group.

Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee is committed to realizing the long-term management vision by promoting corporate activities aimed at addressing environmental and social issues to help build a sustainable society. The committee also has the mission of playing a leading role in achieving sustainable growth and enhancing corporate value over the medium to long term for the KITZ Group.

Themes discussed in committee meetings	(1) Basic Sustainability Policy (2) Review of materiality (priority management themes), target and KPI setting, and progress monitoring. (3) Sustainability activity implementation framework and operating policies (4) Other related matters deemed necessary by the chairperson or committee members
