KITZ to Enter Green Hydrogen Market Launch of PEM Water Electrolysis Unit
KITZ Corporation (Head office: Tokyo, Director, Representative officer and President: Makoto Kohno, hereinafter “KITZ”), is strengthening its efforts to promote the use of renewable energy and reduce CO₂ emissions through initiatives in green hydrogen production and supply.
We are pleased to announce that KITZ will launch its first proprietary Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) water electrolysis hydrogen generation unit, tailored to meet the needs of the Japanese market. This unit utilizes PEM electrolysis technology to generate hydrogen from water, enabling low-environmental-impact hydrogen supply when combined with renewable energy sources.
<Background and Objectives>
KITZ has long cultivated expertise in high-pressure and liquefied hydrogen valve technologies. Building on this foundation, we have established a comprehensive system capable of designing, manufacturing, and engineering hydrogen stations and supply equipment.
With the launch of PEM Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Generation Unit, we aim to go beyond simply supplying valves and support the infrastructure for hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and utilization. Through offering total solutions that contribute to the realization of a hydrogen society and the expansion of the hydrogen market.
