“Filltite®” Special seat ball valves for high temperature

“Filltite®” Special seat for ball valves with improved heat resistance and wear resistance by blending a high proportion of carbon-based filler material into PTFE, and has small permanent deformation even at high temperatures of 300°C, and exhibits excellent operability, durability, chemical resistance, and sealing properties. The ball valves equipped with the “Filltite®” Special seat is common in many parts to our conventional ball valves, realizing high cost performance.

Features and Specifications

It can be used for high temperature fluids up to 300℃ and has excellent sealing properties. *1
Its excellent chemical resistance makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. *2
Permanent deformation is small even at high temperatures.
The flow direction can be used in both directions.
Low pressure loss due to full bore type.
Easy disassembly and assembly.
The fire-safe mechanism prevents excessive leakage in the event of a fire.
The operating torque is smaller than that of the metal ball.

*1 Oil-prohibited or water-prohibited products have seat allowable leakage equivalent to ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class-VI.
*2 Not suitable for high temperature and high concentration of strong acids or strong oxidants. Contact SMC for details. Avoid use with toxic or flammable gases.
